Stew Okra Recipe Prep Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 45 mins Serve: 4-6 Ingredients 1 kg fresh okra 1 medium size onion 2 medium size tomato,chopped 6 cloves garlic,diced 250 gr lamp meat or ground meat(no meat for vegetarian dish) 1 tablespoon tomato paste 1 lemon juice 1 teaspoon hot red pepper salt Directions
Prep Okra: -Clean the stemps of okra,you should not take too deep. -Squeeze the half of lemon to the water and put the cleaned okra into it.Wait half an hour. -Wash again with water. Cooking : -Saute the meat. -Add choppped onions ,green peppper ,garlic to meat and continue to cook. Add chopped tomato to the sauted mixture and continue to cook 15 minutes. -Add tomato paste and continue to cook 5 minutes and add 1 cup of water,not hot. -Add the cleaned okras to this mixture cooked. -Add to the okras salt,red pepper , half lemon juice .Close lid of the pot and cook in a medium heat. -Be ready hot water for adding to the meal during cooking.
