If you like omelette and green onions you can try this recipe for breakfast or lunch.Green onions gives a great taste to omelette.

I believe that onions are very healty and also I like to use in my meals.In addition I would like to briefly give information about the history of onions.

According to one of the stories about onion, Alexander the Great fed his armies with a large amount of onions to strengthen his army for war, and the pictures in the Egyptian tombs show a lot of onions, and even more onion pictures than any other plant. Throughout history, healers have believed in the magical power of onions to cure them from baldness to infections. Lets look some benefits of green onion.

-Supports the immune system

-Regulates blood sugar

-It prevents cancer. (The food that prevents cancer in onions is called quercetin.)

-It protects the stomach membrane from preventing the growth of harmful bacteria from ulcers.

-Reduces the risk of heart disease

-Has nasal decongestant effect

-There are plenty of vitamin A in the white part.

-Plenty of vitamin C in its green parts


Consumption as raw is better than cooking but if you love cooked like me, this recipe is for you.

OMELETTE WITH GREEN ONIONS

Prep Time:5 mins
Cook Time:10 mins
Serves 4 

INGREDIENTS

1 spring onion,finely diced

3 eggs

½ teaspoon ground red pepper

3 tablespoon olive oil

salt

DIRECTIONS

  • Whisk the eggs with salt little bit.
  • Chop the spring onions into small pieces
  • Put the oil in a pan and saute chopped onions over medium heat
  • Add eggs to the sauted onions and carry on to cook.
  • After cooking add ground red pepper on top of it.
